Dad's response to living with geckos, to the tune of "Master of the House" from Les Miserables:
What's that on the wall?
Why does not it fall?
Here it scurries, there it scurries;
Not a sound at all.
Look, it's bright green;
Has a high sheen;
First it's still; then its chasing
Something not quite seen.
Now it's on the ceiling;
Upside down, not reeling;
Now got something, then again;
Death blows to bugs adealing
Insecty varmits it has smited;
With other things uninvited;
Roaches too, if with it they screw;
Its value you have slighted.
So welcome friend gecko;
Will disparage you no mo;
You may go far; even be a star,
And go work for GEICO!
Pouspous the gecko will be absolutely tickled.
